2015 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum Owner's Manual

The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder gets an updated look. This model is still powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine combined with an Xtronic continuously variable transmission, designed to give a good impression of the automatic transmission but also to reduce noise levels. The 2017 update hasn’t changed the Pathfinder’s basic formula: it’s still a large three-row SUV whose handling is optimised to keep the outside world and the discomfort of not the highest quality road infrastructure at bay.

Visibility on the open road is good enough, but in car parks the large overhangs are only tolerable thanks to the parking cameras at the front and rear. The design and quality of the interior is still at a high level. At the top end of the range, the Platinum model gets heated and ventilated front seats, a Bose audio system with 13 speakers, a panoramic sunroof, a motion-activated power tailgate, a navigation system, 20-inch wheels and a suite of active safety features that include rear parking assist, blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert.

This also includes Nissan’s all-around camera system, with moving object detection added this year, and new for 2017 is Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Braking.
