The 2018 Nissan Sentra is a truly big improvement over its predecessor. The body is built on a new and improved platform and echoes the bodywork of its larger siblings, the Altima and Maxima. A new, more powerful engine has been installed to improve fuel economy, more standard technology and driver assistance features have been bolted on, and the interior has been redesigned. The only thing not new for 2020 is the car’s name, as everything else has changed, and for the better.

The engine is bigger and more powerful and is paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Unlike the 2019 Nissan Sentra, a manual gearbox is now unavailable. This model also rides on a new platform, which has improved ride and handling thanks to a new suspension. The interior, too, has undergone a change and has become more modern and luxurious.
